Can Scout Be SunRail’s First Mile, Last Mile Solution?

Scout links directly with SunRail stations in Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood, and Sanford.

For many riders, the toughest part of taking the train is getting to the station and home again afterward. Scout, Seminole County's new on-demand, rideshare service, is designed to fill that "first mile, last mile" gap.

Launching this fall, Scout will operate in five neighborhood-based zones, four of which include a SunRail station. That makes it easier to connect from your community to the train, without relying on a personal vehicle or limited fixed-route service.

Every trip that starts or ends at a SunRail station will cost just $2 for all riders. Seniors (65+), students, riders with disabilities, and income-eligible residents also receive 50 percent off standard fares, while Access Plus cardholders ride for only $1.

As regional leaders look toward future SunRail expansion to Orlando International Airport and extended weekend and evening service, Scout will help make those connections even more convenient.

With Scout, the first mile and last mile just got a whole lot easier.
